Swan Property are different from your average letting agents.

Swan Property Management is a licensed member of the National Approved Lettings Scheme Scheme (NALS). The National Approved Letting Scheme is an accreditation scheme for lettings and management agents offering peace of mind to landlords and tenants in knowing that they are dealing with a firm which agrees to meet defined standards of customer service, together with having in place the necessary insurances to protect clients' money plus a customer complaints procedure offering independent redress.

(NALS) Client Money Protection

Landlords and tenants want peace of mind when entrusting their money to firms they are using. This is offered with the knowledge that NALS firms are bonded under the Client Money Protection Scheme, in the unlikely event a firm misappropriates their monies.

Safe Agent

Safe Agent is a mark denoting firms that protect landlords and tenants money through client money protection schemes.

Landlords and tenants often make decisions based on cost, but it is important to ensure you ask your agent for details of the organisation they are regulated by and whether or not they are covered by a client money protection scheme. All agents regulated by ARLA/NFOPP, the Law Society, NALS and RICS maintain and operate separate designated client accounts where your money is held completely separate from the operating funds of the firm. If the agent you are using cannot provide you with the assurance of knowing they are covered by a client money protection scheme the question you need to ask is why not?

The Property Ombudsman (TPO)

The Property Ombudsman (TPO) Scheme provides a free, fair and independent service for dealing with unresolved disputes between member agents and tenants and landlords of property in the UK.

The Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS)

New legislation came into effect on 6 April 2007. After this date all deposits taken for Assured Shorthold Tenancies must be protected.

The Tenancy Deposit Scheme has been developed to ensure that the deposits are protected and that disputes about their return are resolved swiftly, inexpensively and impartially.

Swan Property Management is a member of The Dispute Service which has been awarded a contract by the Government to run one such scheme, The Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS).
